Juliana Jan joined Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd in 2004 and is currently the Chief Investment Officer, responsible in managing the company grant products, the DEQ800 investment portfolio and temporarily holds the position as the Acting CEO of Cradle Seed Ventures (CSV), Cradle’s venture capital arm.
Juliana has an extensive and diverse experience in market research and grant as well as venture capital funding. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from the Missouri University Science and Technology – Rolla.
Juliana started as an analyst under the developmental grant (CIP50) team and in early 2009, she headed the developmental grant (CIP Catalyst) evaluation team. Then in 2010, she moved to head the commercialisation grant (CIP500) evaluation team and eventually the entire CIP500 unit. With the evolution of Cradle and the initiation of its equity play, she moved to head the equity team.
Juliana continues to be committed in building and developing strong growth potential start-ups in the country specifically in early stage through her work in Cradle. She played a major role as part of the working committee in the setting up of the various products in Cradle and the development of processes, such as the CIP Catalyst (developmental funding), CIP500 (seed funding) as well as the Co-investment and DEQ800 initiatives in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
Prior to joining Cradle, Juliana started her career as a market research executive in a technology-funding agency, which provides both grant and venture capital funding, where her industry and market research projects varied from consumer product and biotechnology to other high technology industries. This has given her a strong background in spotting market trends, analysing gaps in the market and identifying market needs.
After two years in the market research division and another year in the CEO’s office, Juliana joined the investment unit in the same organisation as an analyst where she acquired experience in venture capital funding.
With her career experience, Juliana understands the needs of the market and the issues in the funding ecosystem from prototype development in the pre-seed stage, the seed stage, up to the later stage of fund raising.
Juliana is very passionate about helping entrepreneurs and start-ups. The knowledge and know-how she gained prior to joining Cradle and also at Cradle has been invaluable in enabling her to assist Cradle recipients by advising them and sharing information about the market and funding criteria.

Henry is the Co-Founder and currently the Group Chief Operating Officer of MACROKIOSK, a digital technology company which he founded together with his brothers 20 years ago. This was at a time when mobiles were used for phone calls and were owned by an exclusive group of people.
Riding on the belief that mobile will be the dominator in the future, MACROKIOSK was established and has grown from a three-man team located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to over 250 employees from 20 different nationalities with operating offices in 14 different regions and countries. MACROKIOSK has to date helped more than 3000 companies from 37 countries spread over 24 different industries in embracing digitalisation in their daily operations and businesses.
Over the course of building MACROKIOSK, Henry has been involved in basically every part of the development of the company, from opening up new offices in new markets to marketing, sales, finance, building up a team and product development. Besides working on MACROKIOSK, Henry spends time mentoring entrepreneurs and giving talks in and out of Malaysia. Academically, he holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a winner of the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur Award.

I was the Managing Director of Institut Terjemahan Negara Malaysia which was then successfully rebranded as Institut Terjemahan dan Buku Malaysia in 2012 for 11 years. Before that, I was an academic staff at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) for almost 17 years ( which I was entrusted with several academic administrative positions) . I have presented papers on various issues in many places, some of them are Tehran, Vladivostok, Bangkok, Taipei, Jakarta, and Shanghai. I also moderated many forums and academic discussions, one of them being an ASEAN Universities Forum; World of Culture and World of Universities which took place in the Far Eastern Federal University Campus, Vladivostok, Russia, aside from facilitating local oratory workshops.I judge many prestigious debate and public speaking tournaments . I also was a member of the Southeast Asia Advisory Committee (SEAAC) which advised the Minister of Culture and Tourism Taiwan in 2017/2018. I am now the Director of Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia since 2019.

A serial hackathon winner with a cumulative total of 6 podium finishes and 4 Top 10 finishes. He even entered international hackathons as far as Italy and London before. He is also the winner of the Merit Prize at the 17th MSC Malaysia APICTA Awards 2016. He founded Hackathon Kaki & Developer Kaki, two active tech communities in Malaysia with over 7200 members.
He is currently working as an Assistant Manager in MaGIC working on tools and technologies to empower the startup ecosystem in Malaysia. He is also a familiar face on the judging panels for hackathon/entrepreneurial events and invited as speaker for tech events and universities.

He had the privilege of participating in the development of the Malaysian ‘converged’ telco and broadcast and biotechnology sectors. Both occasions gave him intimate access to the machinery of Government and its engagements with industry in building conducive ecosystems from the ground up. Along the way he learnt first hand the challenges entrepreneurs and industry faced as they brought their products and innovations to the market.

Suriana is passionate about startup development, entrepreneurial mindset as well as capacity building, and continues to actively develop the startup founders and their business growth.
Suriana has served as a senior investment manager for a government backed funding agency and developed tech startups who are raising series A funding from venture capitalists and investors. She has also been invited to startup competitions as a judging panel, startups mentoring as well as entrepreneurship speaking engagements.

His mobility career started in 1994 with Celcom Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. He was instrumental in expanding Celcom network and initiated the 2G network rollout throughout Sarawak. Mr. Chun-Yeow Yeoh was born in Georgetown, Penang. He graduated with a first class honours in B.Eng Electrical Electronic in 2001 and a M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering in 2003 from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor, Malaysia. He is currently Principal Researcher at Telekom R&D Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia.
He has previously worked with Cozybit inc. in San Francisco Bay Area as staff engineer on 802.11s mesh networking and has contributed patches to Linux kernel. His research interests include the MAC layer of wireless communication technologies on WiFi and LTE, embedded system, software-hardware co-design and Linux system. He was appointed as TM R&D delegate to 3GPP LTE/5G standardization group and has constantly contributed technical written documents to RAN2/RAN3 Technical Specification Group (TSG). He is a registered member of Board of Engineer Malaysia and also a member of 5G WG under Malaysian Technical Standard Forum Berhad (MTSFB), contributing towards the 5G Systeam and Architecture Specification. He received the best paper award in IEEE ICIT, Shenzhen, China in 2007 and outstanding paper award in IEEE ICACT 2018, South Korea.
Currently, he is the technical lead of TM R&D Open Innovation Platform (OIP), a multi-layer digital infrastructure serving as a data brokerage system, an API aggregation platform and an e2e IOT platform for rapid deployment of smart services.
